NAME:	Patti (Buck) Behrend
PERSONAL BACKGROUND:	I grew up in Flandreau, South Dakota.  I graduated from  Flandreau Public High School and Dakota State University.   I come from a family of educators (2 great aunts, a great uncle, 2 uncles, and my father).
FAMILY:	My husband, Barry, is a Purchaser at Trail King in Mitchell.  We have two children. Beau is a freshman at DSU and Brooke is a senior at Parkston High School.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE:	I began teaching in 1988 at the Parkston Elementary School.  I taught Special Ed. for 5 years, 6th grade for 3 years, and have been teaching 2nd grade ever since. I am very excited about teaching first grade this year!!
HOBBIES:	Our family enjoys baseball (everyone in our family plays but me - I just get to wash the uniforms!!), swimming (my daughter swims on the swim team), traveling (we especially love traveling to St. Augustine, Florida every other summer!), watching movies, and spending time together.  I personally enjoy reading and shopping!
